SAYREVILLE, N.J. –- Last summer when Julie Nicholasi accepted the position as Specialty Retail Manager at Woodbridge Center, she knew her commute from New Providence would be taxing. Already desiring to be closer to her family and the dynamic nightlife in New York City, the opportunity spurred Julie to seek a housing and lifestyle change, one that would eventually lead her to The Landings at Spinnaker Pointe, the new Matzel & Mumford waterside townhome community being developed in the Middlesex County borough of Sayreville.
"I visited a new townhome community near Princeton and immediately fell in love with it," recalls Julie, referring to Montgomery Hills, a community also being developed by Matzel and Mumford. "The homes were beautiful with well-designed open floorplans, and the quality was so obvious. Unfortunately, I felt Princeton was not right for my situation."
Julie continued her search, looking at other new-construction communities, but nothing seemed to meet her needs. "They just didn't compare to the Matzel and Mumford community. I was just so impressed with those homes."
That's when Julie learned that the developer was opening a new community in Sayreville featuring the same distinctive townhome designs. "I liked the area right away because it's near the water and is so centrally located; whether I'm traveling north, into New York City or south to the Jersey Shore," she says. "So I put my name on a priority information list and purchased a new townhome just after the Grand Opening."
Julie selected the popular Barrymore design for its luxury and spacious living spaces. "It has a very open floorplan that's great for entertaining," she points out. "I also love Matzel and Mumford's Design Center which offers quite an array of options to choose from. They really make the whole process stress-free. I can't wait to move in later this year."
The Landings at Spinnaker Pointe offers just 30 townhomes on a convenient, waterside location. Initially priced from the high-$200,000s, the two- and three-bedroom townhomes offer a variety of award-winning floorplans with from 1,685 to 1,870 square feet of living space. One design offers a master-bedroom suite featuring two separate walk-in closets, with an adjacent loft that can be used as either a home study or second floor den. The community's location in Sayreville promotes a host of recreational pursuits, notes Richard Selikoff, Matzel and Mumford's Vice President of Marketing and Sales.
"Sayreville marks the beginning of the Jersey Shore," he says. "Seasonal water activities such as fishing, boating and swimming, as well as several private marinas and other shore amenities, can all be enjoyed within minutes."
Additional recreational, entertainment and business venues are easily accessible via the Garden State Parkway –- located just minutes from The Landings –- and Routes 9 and 35, providing a quick commute to I-287, Routes 1 ,18 and 440, and the New Jersey Turnpike. Commuters also have a variety of mass transit to choose from including nearby park and ride, the option of accessing the nearby train station, located in South Amboy, for a comfortable commute into Penn Station or via water ferry service available to lower Manhattan.
The Matzel & Mumford Organization is a K. Hovnanian Company.
